Lyuba

Lyuba is a food lover. Obviously. Ever since she was little, she has always enjoyed making up different recipes, hoping that her family would love and appreciate them, but, alas, she never had the talent to become a chef. Lucky for us – She is a great guide!

Srebrina

Srebrina is an energetic girl who enjoys guiding tours! As an actress who also works in an escape room, she works with people all the time!
She loves meeting new friends and learning about their cultures. Srebrina can tell you some tips and tricks about her city and reveal Bulgarian culture to you!

RADO

An actor and a musician with a passion to eat, Rado is always in a mood to explore the capital’s hidden restaurants and share the knowledge that lies behind the places. Don’t be shy to take a step in an open conversation with him, because that’s what these tours are all about. Learning, eating and having fun!

ELENA

Food and cooking are a big passion of Elena, who finds food a very social thing, something that can gather people from different nationalities, ages, ethnicities. She loves to meet new people, to travel and put herself out of her comfort zone. The thing she values the most, however, is the good sense of humor so brace yourself for a good laugh!

YOAN

Always a charmer, Yoan will surprise you with a well rounded appreciation of our food culture history and humor. As an active member of a debate team he welcomes all points of view. So let him know yours on the tour.

Happy Memories from our Guests

We will be happy to hear about your experience, too!

Perfect experience!

Went on the tour twice with a different group of friends each time. If you are planing to visit Sofia, you can’t miss it.
You’ll get delicious bites of Balkan cuisine, interesting fun facts and Bulgarian History.
The guides are a lovely and knowledgeable group of young people from the city.
Shoutout to Nataly and Yoan, both really sweet, funny and charming.

Remember to leave a tip and don’t be cheap as this is an initiative and it is not funded by any organization or the government and they put their heart on what they do!

Interesting food tour

Johann was our guide & he’s wonderful. He is very engaging & knowledgeable which made this tour that little bit more special. The food we tried was great & this tour is perfect for vegetarians which made me happy. Worth doing as soon as you get to Sofia so you can make a plan on where to visit for some meals during your stay.

This tour was just as good as some expensive paid food tours I’ve been on. Price doesn’t always equal quality.

Great overview of Bulgarian foods

Very popular, so best to book ahead. (People who had not booked were turned away.)
It is not a huge meal, but a good introduction to balkan staples and drinks. Also, the tour takes you off the main tourist route, so it is a nice way to explore some of Sofia’s side streets. You end at the large pedestrian road. Awesome.
